Rural Relief Small Business Grant

RURAL RELIEF SMALL BUSINES GRANTS
DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 2, 2021!!!

As part of their continuing commitment to elevate our impact in rural America, LISC is inviting small business owners in rural locations across the country to apply for the LISC-Lowe's Rural Relief Small Business Grants program.

Only small businesses located in rural communities are eligible at this time. Rural communities are defined as having a population of 50,000 or less.

A community is defined as the city/town/village where your business address is located. If the business is mobile (a food truck, fishing boat, ride share driver, etc) please use the address where your vehicle is stored during non-business hours.

TAKE YOUR JEWELRY BUSINESS TO THE NEXT LEVEL
DEADLINE: August 1, 2021

This is an annual award for emerging silver jewelry artists to kick-start their careers. The company supports small jewelry businesses.

Applicants must submit answers to 15 questions and include their design portfolios.

The grand prize is a $7,500 cash grant plus other benefits.

Fund for Investigative Research

FUND FOR INVESTIGATIVE RESEARCH
For: U.S.-based Freelance Journalists

The Fund for Investigative Journalism (FIJ) is unveiling a new effort to provide immediate emergency grants to U.S.-based freelance investigative journalists working on stories on the coronavirus that break new ground and expose wrongdoing in the public or private sector.

For the next few months, small grants will be offered of up to $10,000, on a rolling basis, for freelance investigative projects that have a strong U.S. angle involving American citizens, government or business.

Oceanside Economic Development

OCEANSIDE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BUSINESS GRANT - California

The Oceanside City Council approved an allocation of up to $750,000 to provide grants ranging from $1,000 to $7,500 to local businesses impacted by COVID-19. The City is partnering with MainStreet Oceanside and the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce to manage the grant program.

There are two applications: one for business in Oceanside and one for businesses located outside Oceanside (within city limits).
This grant applies to businesses that opened before OR after March 15, 2020.

Show your business through written posts, photos, or videos. Post on your business Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn account.

DO NOT use a story as your entry post – this will disqualify you.

Include #navsmallbusinessgrant in your entry and explain:
• What your business does
• A challenge your business has overcome in the past and a challenge you struggle with
• How the grant funds will help you overcome your challenge and detailed specifics about how you plan to use the money

Dane County Small Business Grant

DANE COUNTY SMALL BUSINESS GRANT PROGRAM – ROUND 2 WISCONSIN

Grant amount is $10,000 - $50,000. Deadline February 15, 2021.

Criteria

- Is the business independently owned, local business with the main office based in Dane County?

- Is this an established business, filing taxes?

- Is your business experience financial hardship which is expected to continue for at least the next 3 months?

- Have your business revenues decrease 30% or more in 2020 versus 2019?

- Is your business a for-profit enterprise?

- Is the applicant a business owned by a person of color, woman-owned, veteran, or LGBT?

- Was the business in existence prior to March 15, 2020?

KKR Small Business Builder Grant

KKR SMALL BUSINESS BUILDERS GRANT

KKR Small Business Builders will provide recovery grants to local companies in communities around the world. They believe that now is the time to invest in our neighborhoods and neighbors in a new way. They believe that, together, we can be builders.

KKR Small Business Builders has an emphasis on companies that are pivoting their business in response to the pandemic; are operated by historically underrepresented groups (HUGs); and/or are providing important community services.

To be eligible, a business must have between 5 and 50 employees, less than $7 million USD in annual revenue, demonstrated need for support, a strong plan for moving forward, and be in good standing with the IRS or your local regulatory body.

Round 3: Entries received after the Round 2 deadline and before February 10, 2021, at 11:59 PM Eastern Time, will be considered together for a Round 3 Grant.
Round 4:
Entries received after the Round 3 deadline and before April 7, 2021, at 11:59 PM Eastern Time, will be considered together for a Round 4 Grant.
Round 5: Entries received after the Round 4 deadline and before June 2, 2021, at 11:59 PM Eastern Time, will be considered together for a Round 5 Grant. The number of Grant Recipients will be based on need and available funds. Grant Recipients will be notified by email within thirty (30) days after each round.

BGE Grant for Maryland

BGE ENERGIZING SMALL BUSINESS GRANT - MARYLAND

BGE is pledging $15 million to assist Maryland’s small businesses with COVID-19 relief and recovery. Eligible businesses located in BGE’s service area can apply for a $20,000 BGE Energizing Small Business Grant. This grant program is part of BGE's comprehensive Customer Relief and Energy Infrastructure Investment Plan, designed to help the state’s economic recovery from the pandemic.

The grants program is a multi-year commitment and is expected to run through at least 2023.

Eligibility:
To be eligible, a business must have between two and 25 employees, less than $7 million in annual revenue, demonstrated need for support, a strong plan for moving forward and be in good standing with the State of Maryland.

Applicants must be a for-profit business and an existing BGE electric and/or gas customer in good standing with BGE.

The application opened January 20, 2021 and will be held in three Rounds:
Round 1 opens January 20 and closes March 3
Round 2 opens May 5 and closes June 16
Round 3 opens September 1 and closes October 13
